How to Attract your Dream Team using Brain Science
Are you ready to attract the kind of people you truly want to align yourself with?
Maybe you’re launching your business and building a team. Or perhaps you’re looking to surround yourself with an inner circle of genuine, authentic friends who love and support you. Whatever your dream is, the process is the same: And it’s based in science.
I love to use the power of the Reticular Activating System (RAS) and my subconscious mind to reach my goals.
These techniques are also called “manifesting” and “The law of attraction”… but are truly based on science!
I love this breakdown of how the RAS works:
“The Reticular Activating System is the attention center in the brain. It is the key to "‘turning on your brain’. You can deliberately program the reticular activating system by choosing the exact messages you send from your conscious mind. For example, you can set goals, or say affirmations, or visualize your goals.
Second, your reticular activating system cannot distinguish between ‘real events’ and ‘synthetic’ reality.
In other words, it tends to believe whatever message you give it. Imagine that you’re going to be giving a speech. You can practice giving that speech by visualizing it in your mind. This ‘pretend’ practice will improve your ability to give the speech.” (John Nieuwenburg, W5 Coaching).
What does this have to do with attracting your Dream Team?
If I can imagine it as if it is happening, and then write it down with clarity, my brain will weed out the “white - noise” that stops me from recognizing opportunities and people and situations that might help me reach my goal.
Clarity and communication is the key.
Here’s How:
Try this write out what and who you want to attract.
The key is specificity! Don’t be vague about this. Examples of do’s and don’ts:
Yes - “I want to attract a business partner. She is 35-40. She is strong, capable and a fantastic communicator. She has children, hobbies and business sense but she has been looking for an opportunity to change their financial future and spread health and wealth to others. She is a smart buyer and always does her research. This woman is wellness-minded and health-conscious and cares where her products come from and how they are made.”
No - “I want a new business partner who loves to be healthy.” Too vague!
Write this out in vivid detail. Imagine this person as if they will walk into your life at any moment!
Then let it go.
Don’t focus on the “how” or the “where.” Don’t obsess about which networking event you’ll meet this person in, which Facebook Group you’ll connect in, or how to “find” them.
Let it go and watch your amazing brain go to work for you.
Now, this does not just work when attracting 1 individual. Opportunity is all around us!
Here is my example as I write out the vision for the next 5 people coming into my business:
“I can't wait to meet the 5 or more visionary womxn that are coming into my business. I'm so grateful to partner with inspiring, powerful, compassionate and capable leaders.
These women are between the age of 35 and 45 and they have life and business experience. They have powerful and authentic life stories. They are survivors who believe in themselves and others.They have complementary Strengths and together we are able to accomplish much more than we could alone. We are diverse in skill, background and innate talent.
These capable womxn are inspired to create positive change in the world and they have philanthropic passions. They see an incredible opportunity with the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation because of the matching grant program. They want to help others. Together we raise millions of dollars that we are able to donate to causes we are passionate about! We are able to dip into each others’ networks to spread awareness and to raise even more resources. Together we become conscious millionaires!
These womxn are spiritual, inclusive, antiracist, honoring of all races, genders, gender identities, nationalities, sexual orientation's and religions. They enhance, complement, inspire and love my existing Visionary Leaders Collective. The addition of their energy makes us even greater. We become great friends. Our families travel together and our children play together. We are one another’s support system of love, inspiration and accountability.
I am open and ready to receive these amazing people into my life and my business.”
