How to Host your own Blossoms & Blends Party… in your own Backyard

2 years ago, I hosted one of my most memorable events ever.

People still message me to tell me they loved it, text me about it and bring it up in conversation. It was a huge hit.

The truth is, I miss Live events SO much. So I decided to take the model of this ultra-successful event and write you a little how-to guide for hosting your OWN Blossoms & Blends party.

The premise of this event was to create our own custom perfume and our very own bouquet. But I hosted this event during another time when I was yearning for community and connection.

At the time, I had just had my 1st baby and I hadn’t seen my girlfriends in a while. On top of that, our entire valley was full of thick smoke from wildfires that ravaged the forests here in Southern Oregon…so we hadn’t even been able to go outside. I was dying to be around people - just like right NOW!

This is a quick and easy guide to hosting your own Blossoms & Blends party. I highly suggest that you serve little bites and mocktails!

Blossoms: Incorporating Floral Arranging

Part of the event featured people creating their own bouquets. Everyone’s was different and unique - what a success!

To incorporate floral arranging into your party, reach out to your local floral supplier and ask about bulk floral pricing of flowers and greenery. Most areas have suppliers who will even drop off a batch of flowers for parties like this one!

If you’re looking for a hands-on DIY experience, you can also consider hiring a florist to come teach at the class. We did that for Blossoms & Blends and it was a massive success because she gave tips and tricks to make flower arranging easy and fun.

You’ll need supplies like a table, scissors, jars, and water to create bouquets. We had our participants and and arrange at the table, several at a time!

Blends: Incorporating Perfumery

Creating your own botanical essential oil blends is so simple! You just need rollerbottles, fractionated coconut oil, eyedroppers and doTERRA essential oils. One of my favorite websites to get rollerbottles and droppers is GotOilSupplies. You can get fractionated (liquid) coconut oil at your local natural foods store OR much cheaper online here.

Jasmine & Juniper Botanical Blends:

Floral

5 drops Diluted Rose
4 drops Black Pepper
1 drop Patchouli

Earthy

3 drops Vetiver
2 drops Spikenard
1 drop Clary Sage
5 drops Bergamot

Fresh

6 drops Lime
2 drops Spearmint
5 drops Pink Pepper
