Sea Salt vs. Table Salt
The more I learn about salt, the more fascinated I become. You might think that salt is all the same. But I’m here to tell you that salt can be a powerful tool for your health.
It’s simple: Salt + Water + Oils = Lasting Wellness
Not all salt is the same. Grab some sea salt at your local health food store and be prepared for major change! Make an easy change in your diet that can greatly increase your health…
Use sea salt!
Say no 👎🏼 to table salt.
Why no table salt?
In my salt research, I made many discoveries. But these quotes sealed the deal for me:
"Table salt is typically mined from underground salt deposits.
Table salt is more heavily processed to eliminate minerals and usually contains an additive to prevent clumping. " - Mayo Clinic
"Table salt is created by taking natural salt (or crude oil flake leftovers) and cooking it at 1200° Fahrenheit. Once the unprocessed salt is heated up to this temperature, it starts to lose the majority of the eighty important elements that are naturally occurring.." - globalhealomgcenter.com
I also learned that table salt is actually supplemented with iodine… and iodine is important for a thyroid health. But there are so many ways to get enough iodine to support a healthy body! In fact you can easily get iodine in its natural form by eating lots of sea vegetables. I try to snack on Nori every single day.
Make a Sea Salt drink for your health:
I like to make a mixture of filtered water, a pinch of sea salt and a couple drops of doTERRA Lemon essential oil. This keeps me hydrated, gives me electrolytes, essential minerals I need and it also gently detoxifies my organs. Plus it taste yummy.
BONUS: Add a little apple cider vinegar and a pinch of Stevia and you've got a healthy version of Gatorade!
Cheers to your health!
